Sweet Darlin': A Serious Suggestion To 'Glee'
Glee needs to start taking tips from ensemble shows like Grey’s Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother, Community and Modern Family on how to integrate all characters in more equal ways. Obviously from time to time certain characters take a backseat to allow other characters to shine more, but sometimes I really get sick of “The Hate-on-Rachel-Berry Show”, “The Pedo!Will Trying-to-Win-Emma-Back Show” and “The Kurt-Crying-Ever-Scene-Show” episodes. Yes, I know they are the leads, and they will automatically have more of the heavy lifting, but if you take a look at the other shows I mentioned above, you almost always have an episode where you can come out of saying, “I liked so-and-so’s part of the ep” and it doesn’t always have to be the main characters.
Or, if it’s really that hard for RIB to do proper ensemble show format, then please can we get some Skins format, where EVERY character gets their own episode along with the other cast interacting with them. It’s much more enjoyable. Just my two cents.
I’ve been wishing for Skins-style episodes forever!
